Cheryl Turgeon was raised in the Soo, graduating from Sir James Dunn C&VS in 1994. She graduated from the University of Western School of Dentistry in 2000 with First Class Honours with Distinction and headed back to her hometown. She has worked at Family Dentistry On Bay with Dr. J.D. Cavanagh since 2002 and has truly enjoyed getting to know her patients over the years. She is a member of the local dental society, the Canadian Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association and has served on the local dental society executive board. She served as Vice Chair for the 2008 Northern Ontario Dental Association (NODA) conference and as Chair for the 2012 NODA conference.

Outside of the office, Cheryl has enjoyed being a part of the local theatre community with her husband Mike and exploring her love of music. For Cheryl, some of the most important aspects of life in the Soo are being a part of the community and experiencing the joy of life through her children's eyes.
